Below is a list of special projects conducted by Mrs. Bergeron's multi-age classroom.   Feel free to use and enjoy the projects.  Let me know what you think of them and if you have any suggestions for improvement.

Necessity, The Mother of Invention (March 2001)
This unit of practice covers the invention process.  It is used to help students understand how inventions have changed our lives.  The final product of this unit is an original invention for the school Invention Convention.  Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader which may be obtained from the Download page.
  
Final Frontier (November 2000)
In this unit of practice students make a decision on a new planet for human habitat.  They will study the planets and the requirements for sustaining life as we know it.  Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader and a PowerPoint viewer which may be obtained from the Download page.
  
Solving Life's' Problems with Numbers (July 2001)
During this unit of practice students will discover how math can help solve many problems which they will encounter as they grow into adulthood.  The following technology is used in this unit:  email, surveys, databases, spreadsheets, and web building.   Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader and a Flash viewer which may be obtained from the Download page.

Oklahoma: Land of the Redman (May 2001)
This unit of practice is still under development.  However, feel free to use what is currently available.
  
Passport to the World (Fall 2001 - under construction)
This unit of practice is still under development.  However, there are many useful links currently available.
  
National Math Trail (Fall 2001 - under construction)
Links for students to use will developing their math questions for the National Math Trail internet project.
  
Explorers
  
Thirteen Original Colonies (under construction for 2002 school year)
Contains useful links to the 13 original colonies.  This Unit of Practice is due to be completed for the 2002 school year.
  
Road to Revolution (under construction for 2002 school year)
Students will be creating newspapers covering the major events leading up to the American Revolution.  The time period covered is 1753-1776.  Events covered are:
The French and Indian War
Boston Tea Party
Stamp Act
Boston Massacre
Declaration of Independence
Battles of Lexington and Concord
  
The World of Color
