The eNewsletter offers us the opportunity to communicate and interact with our participants via a relevant and convenient medium. Even one more way we are diverse! Although we don’t feel the need to recreate the semester schedule word for word, we can still get out core enrollment information and class times and dates along with the “news” part of what we are doing.
We are able to discuss new classes, software, web tools, etc. in more depth. Space in an eNewsletter is (for the most part) unlimited – so we can be a bit more conversational and interactive. We take advantage of the “hyper” nature of a PDF. We provide links to information and resources our participants need and want.
Additionally, an email to people who want our information cost no more than time and effort. That’s a commodity we are anxious to spend. Absolutely no trees are harmed in the act of creating an eNewsletter!
